Scenarios
Goguryeo
The Goguryeo pyramids in China are ancient burial mounds constructed for kings and nobility of the Goguryeo Kingdom, which once ruled parts of modern-day Northeast China and Korea. These massive tombs are believed to date back to the 3rd to 7th centuries AD.
Canlin
The Canlin pyramids, located in the Shaanxi province near Xi'an, are large, ancient mausoleums attributed to early Chinese emperors and royal families, including those from the Western Han and earlier dynasties.
Khafre
The Pyramid of Khafre is the second-largest of the three famous pyramids on the Giza Plateau, built during Egypt’s Fourth Dynasty around 2570 BC. It is easily recognizable by the remnants of its original limestone casing still visible near the top.
Khufu
The Great Pyramid of Khufu, also known as the Pyramid of Cheops, is the largest and most famous of all Egyptian pyramids. Built during the Fourth Dynasty around 2580–2560 BC, it originally rose to a height of 146.6 meters and remains one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
Gunung Padang
Gunung Padang is a megalithic site located in West Java, Indonesia, often referred to as the largest and oldest pyramid-like structure in Southeast Asia. Built from volcanic rock columns, the site sits atop an extinct volcano and spans several terraces constructed with remarkable precision.
Nurri
Nurri represents one of the lesser-known but symbolically rich pyramid complexes in central Mexico, influenced by the architecture of ancient civilizations like the Olmec, Zapotec, and early Maya. Its step-pyramid form reflects traditional Mesoamerican ceremonial design.
Shunantunich
Shunantunich is an ancient Maya archaeological site located near the modern-day border of Guatemala and Belize. The name means 'Stone Woman' in Maya, and the site is famed for its towering pyramid known as 'El Castillo'.
Tikal
Tikal is one of the most powerful and iconic ancient Maya cities, located deep within the rainforests of northern Guatemala. At its peak during the Classic period (c. 200–900 AD), it was a thriving metropolis and ceremonial center.
Tucume
Túcume is a vast archaeological site in northern Peru, home to one of the largest concentrations of pyramidal structures in South America. Built primarily by the Lambayeque and later the Chimú civilizations, the site includes over 26 adobe pyramids dating from around 1000 to 1470 AD.
Meroe
The pyramids of Meroe are part of an ancient royal cemetery located in northern Sudan, once the capital of the Kingdom of Kush. Built between 300 BC and 350 AD, the site contains over 200 pyramids, making it one of the largest pyramid fields in the world.
Nurri
Nuri is an ancient necropolis in northern Sudan, notable for containing the earliest pyramids built by the Kushite rulers of the Napatan period. The site includes around 20 pyramids and served as a royal burial ground from the 7th to 4th centuries BC.
